There's an expectation of progress which is tagged future, nobody knows what it holds but with the current situation, it can be judged.
My country my homeland.
She's a country with adequate natural resources, and she's a beautiful country with enough opportunities she would have been one of the most powerful countries in the world with a strong economy but sadly she's still far from maximizing her full potential
sadly she's been affected by bad leaders
sadly she's affected by stunted growth
sadly she once had a good reign
We used to be united
we used to be the country with peace and love
we were leading with peace.
we used to be known for a good economy
we were never part of the crime-leading countries
we had good things going on,all of a sudden there was a flip and things changed drastically
How did we get here?
how did it become this bad?
How did we move from good to bad?
Now she has problems with insurgency, problems of ethnicity and religion
The country is battling with overpopulation and the increase in unemployment is now a plague
she's been driven by leaders who have no intention to lead right but themselves
she's been led by corrupt leaders
shes been eaten up by corrupt leaders
Is there a better future for her?
The country has been surviving a lot of punches from different problems and so far it has been a hard one
Day by day we keep pushing hoping for a better one
is a better one going to emerge with how things are going?
insecurity prevent one from traveling far?
The economy makes the menial job the best job to offer
The hike in things makes people starve
The failed educational sector reduced the integrity of schools
Tribalism taking a negative turn on the country's citizens
poverty making people live from hand to mouth
The way things changed from good to bad all because of wrong people holding power and misusing the authority makes the future a blur one
I believe there's still a light at the end of the tunnel for my country that just require the right man to hold the torch and lead
The future will always remain bright, the future will always be promising, the future will always hold good times, and the future will always be better, can take a lot of stops and pause before we get there but with the right person and having the right attitude we see a better future
Even with the problem holding back her growth I and many other citizens still have hope for the future of my country
