Growing up was with different games just to make everyday fun-filled, from playing street football in the rain to running during weekends and long vacations.

HIDE AND SEEK WITH A NIGERIAN VERSION CALLED BOJU BOJU
The game requires every other person to go into hiding and the one meant to seek starts in the search of those in hiding.
Anyone he catches gets to replace him or her to seek others in hiding.
One thing about this game was that everyone has a favorite hiding place and the seeker is aware of this but getting to the hideout and no one is found there spices up the game and makes it more fun.
The seeker will always try every possible means to find everyone and those in hideout would also try every possible means not to be found.

I remember each time we want to play this game we try to make it more fun by putting down all curtains and closing the windows just to make it all dark and a bit challenging for the seekers, that way the game becomes more fun.
it is a game I enjoyed playing as a kid with friends and after the seeker might have found everyone we then laugh at how the seeker was close to finding those in hiding but couldn't all because it was dark and how some picked and open hideouts to hide and got caught easily.
TUG OF WAR
We had no idea what this was called then but it was always fun playing.
All that mattered was the fun we had pulling the other party across the line and jumping for victory.
The game is favored when you have strong ones in your team then pulling other ones becomes easy.
HOPSCOTCH
This was the real deal back then. A game that brought children of the same age bracket together also called SUWE in Nigeria.
You draw boxes with line and each participant with pebbles called seed jump over the boxes with one leg and the pebbles placed at the back of the hand and each successful jump over boxes get you to own one part of the box.
The game is fun and challenging but sure made childhood days fun-filled with sweet memories.
These games made childhood fun and sweet.
Whoever invented this game gave us a memorable childhood.
