Every individual has the tendcy to be greedy and wants all for themselves, but the difference is just how disciplined we can be towards that habit and how well we curb it
We all want all the good things, trust me if we can get all we would gladly accept all but then empathy and at the expense of others stop most of us from being greedy and that right there is being considerate
Being considerate over the wellbeing of others and also their welfare
Those that get blinded by excessive desire end up being tagged greedy ones
I had this two bro with me back then, we used to be very good friends, you know the kind of relationship between three people but with the age difference
We are good friends but still maintain respect with age differences
Fortunately for us all,one of the big brothers got to travel out and all things good he got to settle down and was living an average life over there
The good trait he had in him still got him connected to us back home here in Nigeria and sometimes he gets to send us money every month from his pay, sometimes just for upkeep and it's always huge here because of how low the naira is to the dollar
We both do not have a domiciliary account, a kind of account to transact foreign currency conveniently
So the other bro just accepts the money in his account and if he does not cash it, it gets refunded back to the sender at oversee within three days
He's the one in charge I only get to have my share in naira, I trusted him way too much and all this while he's been using that as an advantage, cutting my share
But then greed will always want more and so this time he said we won't be getting anything from the bro over there all because things are so messy over there
I had no right to object, this bro was just being nice to us we shouldn't feel entitled and so I let it slide
Not knowing he had it all to himself this time
I was not going to ask the sender why he didn't send it this time that's wrong to me
so I moved on and let the month pass
No, until the bro over there just buzzed me and was like he might not get to send for the present month we are all because of taxes and all but then he will make it up with time some other time
Then we both got to have a deeper conversation and then I got to know how much he has been sending all these while, how he sent the previous month I didn't just get my share
I felt cheated though but it was too late all I did was keep it to myself and ever since then the bro who cheated lost his respect for me
That stopped the other bro from sending anymore and the relationship between us three got broken
Though I still talk with the one who traveled out and sometimes still get some goodies but is all reduced now
And the other bro in Nigeria with me lost his respect from me, we did not fight but each time we see he gets ashamed
Greed makes us acquire things at the expense of others and we still end up not satisfied, it is an excessive desire that needs to be controlled before turning into a thing of shame
There's nothing good about acquiring things at the expense of others especially those closer to us ,we become shameful of such act when we are exposed
