Hola, Sunday๐
We got up so late today (almost 8 am), lol. It was intentional. We thought we would have a really lazy day in the real sense of the words. We'd make it our real downtime and allow our body and mind to have a deep reset. And maybe go out in the afternoon for a lil adventure.
Anyway, it was time to trim the LilGuy's coat, and we did that yesterday afternoon while the rain poured generously outside.
Looking at these trimmings, I realized his fur is more of the darker shades than white.
The hubby insisted we clip the longer hair on his ears and bring out their shape. I thought it would be weird, but it turned out to be okay. The wee boy seems to like it. And here is the work of the most novice groomer in town.๐
He refused to have his nails trimmed, though, so that remains a 'to-do' on our list (not that we have one). It's always a challenge, especially for his front paws. The husband accidentally over-clipped one of his nails before making it bleed, and he seems to hold a grudge, lol!
Joke aside, he always curls his front paws and won't budge when he knows it's time for a nail trim. He runs away to hide in the bedroom, or under the chair when we say "nail trim" or whenever he sees me taking out his nail clipper. It's amusing to watch him do that, and we don't force it. We wait until he is in a good mood to get it done, clipping one nail at a time, even if it takes a couple of days.
We found out that other fur parents hang their pets to clip their paw nails. We tried the method a few times, but the little guy became vicious, so it's a no. We just have to be patient and wait for the perfect timing, and he wouldn't let us without any protest.
