Hola, Monday 馃挌
It's the new week and our stay in the capital had to be extended. One of the main goals for this trip is yet to be accomplished, (no) thanks to the downpour along with strong winds that kept us mostly immobile yesterday. It appears that two tropical cyclones outside PAR are still bringing intermittent rains and gustiness in Northern Luzon, and our region is one of the most affected areas.
"This seems to be the longest wet month yet and it's getting tiring," my sister-in-law said as we drove out a little while ago. We spent the night at their place and my young nephews had a bit of fun poking the LilGuy's tail and touching his head and back. "The winds howled and lashed through the concrete walls, I hope you slept well," she continued.
"Yes, we dozed off at 11," I replied. Although Yongi and I woke up a couple of times during the wee hours while the hubby snored, lol! The thing is, eversince the mudslide scare in DD, my body seems to be always on edge. Even a faint thud jolts me up, causing me to panic at times. The experience had somehow made my senses overly vigilant and reactive. Both good and not so.
Anyway, we will endeavor to attend to our errands and get them done today. And if things don't go the way we wish them to be, we still have a bagful of sweet treats to keep our spirits up馃榿
Kidding aside, we really hope to be back to DD by the evening. It's still better to be at the comfort of our own home when the weather condition intensifies. Or we might just drive straight to BC in case the planned road blockade would be enforced within the day in DD.
