Groggy on a gorgeous Wednesday morning. It feels like I have a hangover when it's been quite a while since I tasted alcohol. For the very first time in 2026, I was up until the wee hours of the night. The hubby was already deep in his sleep, and I was wide awake. The LilGuy must have sensed something; he remained awake too, sighing often, squeezing himself into my arms, sitting on the edge of my pillow, licking my face, etc.
I stayed still, stared at the wall and the ceiling. I cuddled him at some point, and then read something to no avail. It was as though my body's off-switch refused to do its thing. Reading often makes me snoozy, but it didn't work this time.
It felt weird.
I usually doze off effortlessly each night. It must be something I ate that caused it, lol! Thankfully, my eyes finally felt heavy around 1:45 am. And thank goodness too that my little man isn't a morning pup; he stayed curled up beside me and didn't jump out of bed until half past 7. Now he is on the couch, quietly catching up on sleep. We're having a sloth day, it seems!馃榿
But before that, it's time for a short update in week 27th on my slothly goal. A quick check revealed there wasn't much movement; only 60 HIVE was added to the savings (now at 1382 from 1322). Still good though. Every little addition is growth, and I'm still giving myself a gentle pat on the back.
Meanwhile, a super typhoon (Bavi, locally named Inday) has entered the country. While it's slightly breezy and sunny here, parts of Luzon are already experiencing heavy rains and gusts. Some areas are already flooded. News say it has impacted Guam and the Mariana Islands. We hope and pray that it won't wreak havoc in our country.馃檹
