We often rush through the days as if we are in a race. We try to force things to happen and even worry about the future. But experiences teach us otherwise. Life cannot be hurried. Like the fern frond slowly opening to the light of day, life unfurls on its own timing鈥攅xpanding, developing, moving forward one quiet pace at a time.

Our journey is never a straight line. Sudden twists and turns, hurdles, and storms test our resolve. Difficult times can be overwhelming. They tend to make our path confusing and messy. They trigger self-doubt. They birth questions like "Why is this happening to me?" or "What have I done to deserve this?" In the end, they strengthen and build us. Pain teaches us patience and resilience, and joyful times give us hope.

We don't have absolute control over many things, and it is okay. Accepting (and embracing) that fact gives us a deep sense of calm, freeing us from unnecessary worries. It allows us to trust life's own rhythm and timing. When we learn to let go, we stop fighting the circumstances or the flow of life itself.

We finally take a pause (slow down) and truly appreciate the present. We begin to notice the little wonders that have always been there鈥攂irds singing, quiet mornings, shared laughter, the warmth of a loved one's touch or word, and even a quiet smile from a stranger.

Today, we celebrate life with an open mind and quiet courage鈥攁llowing it to take its course, letting it unfurl at its own perfect pace, and may our true selves emerge in the process.

Happy, happy 40+++ to the person who makes every chaotic adventure twice as fun. They say wisdom comes with age. I wonder if that means we are geniuses by now, lol!馃榿 But yeah, life has been truly good!
