Little did I imagine that LeoThreads is going to play the important role of being the connecting link amongst communities here on Hive and even off the chain. Not that Hive communities are disconnected, but Threads is making the connection visible or obvious through the initiatives and collaboration that are being born out of it. Thanks to Eric (@anomadsoul) a.k.a
@leogrowth and all the other minds behind these. It's just amazing.
While LeoFinance dev team is building the infra, there are also things going on in the front lines since the alpha UI has rolled out. And here are some of them:
The first-ever Crew3 Zealy test campaign was exclusive to a few users for two weeks. With it being successful, another sprint was initiated and opened to Hive users with over 1k Leo Power which ran for a month. That too, was a success, with users who finished the race winning liquid LEO as their prize and others, receiving Leo Power delegations.
The third sprint, being the Adoption Campaign has a $10k USD prize pool, will commence on the 30th April. This is open to everyone on Hive, with or without staked LEO (Leo Power). The reason behind these campaigns is to keep engagements high and to introduce more people to Hive through LeoThreads. As we know, with all the goodness Hive has, its userbase is still small and we need to let others especially those on Web 2 platforms to learn about it.
So if you have not signed up for this campaign, come aboard before the sprint starts. The quests are simple and fun. Who knows, you might even win a chunk of that prize pool. Here's an invite link if you do not have one.
For those who are still unaware, various communities have hopped on to threads and were delegated with 25k Leo Power to boost their community members who create threads and engage therein. A simple, related thread (microblog) using the #hivegarden tag for instance may mean a visit with an upvote from the Hive Garden community account which could earn you $LEO, HP and HBD. This microearnings may look so small at first, but they all add up.
To date, there are 17 different communities on threads. So if you are still not threading, you're missing out!
A fantastic collaboration between whales on Hive (i.e. Theycallmedan, OCD, Leovoter, Blocktrades) to reward nominated authors from the different communities and using the poll feature on threads as a way to choose which amongst the nominees will get a huge chunk of the upvotes from the big accounts. They call it decentralized curation.
If I'm not mistaken, we are in the third week (going 4) and various authors have won and made beneficiaries of the rewards.
The good thing about this too, is that not only the chosen author benefits, but the community too, not to mention the budget that gets added to the marketing funds of Hive.
This is another cool initiative where whales on Hive have collaborated to support two communities with 100k HP Delegation on the condition that any of their members finish first and second rank on the upcoming Zealy Adoption Campaign.
This is a big boost to communities to keep their participation optimal. A win-win for everyone, not only to the winners but generally to Hive as a whole when we are able to add more people to our userbase. The more users, the more transactions, the better the price of $HIVE will be. And we want that, don't we?
And if you don't already know, the alpha UI of the LeoThreads goes into production stage on May 1st. And I believe there are more good and exciting things coming so don't miss out and tell your friends about it too!
