"I'm hungry, could you please buy something tasty to nibble on the way home?" I requested the hubby as he was getting out of the car to buy veggies from the organic shop. "Anything?" he asked. "Yes. Something sweet and NEW (emphasizing the word) would be nice," I teased.
When he came back, he was holding a box of coconut macaroons (I call them c-mac). "That's something new after a while," he said, as he passed it on to me. They are big, huh! We were used to the bite-sized ones by Goldilocks.
Anyway, I was excited to taste it, so I opened the box and took one. The hubby wasn't just going to watch me. He got himself a piece too, lol! We ate them before I remembered to take some photos (hence, the two missing pieces, one from each side).😅
"This is quite a treat, I like it," I commented.
"Well, it should be because it's a bit pricey," the hubby laughed. How much? Is it 150? I threw a guess. "Not even close!" he laughed even more. "500 then? That would be outrageous," I giggled. "It's half of that," he said with a straight face, which means he was serious.
Well, it's worth it. Freshly made, hence soft and chewy, tastes great, and interestingly, it was made by a cafe shop halfway to the city (based on the address indicated on the packaging).
We didn't even know a so-called Leona's Cafe & Eatery existed until we met this box, hehe! From the photos on their page, the place looks nice, and they seem to have plenty of goodies and dishes.
That gave us an idea to take a little stopover the next time we take a ride to that side of the region. It should have been last week (or at least yesterday), but somehow, we have forgotten about the annual festivity (Adivay) in the provincial capital. It has already concluded, so yikes! We missed it.
But no worries, there will be next year, lol! Kidding aside, it would be really nice to experience the place one day soon!
