It was drizzling yesterday afternoon, and an incredible display was waiting in the distance (east side) when I stepped out of our lil abode to check if I had left anything on the clothesline. I was awed, enjoying the view for a few moments, then went back inside for my phone and quickly came out to capture it.

Because why not? We don't get to see a peaceful sight like that every day, and I believe taking photographs is a way to keep a slice of that happiness a little longer😊

The gorgeous rainbow stretched over the mountainside, and the warm rays of the setting sun illuminated the neighborhood as the clouds drifted away.

As I took more shots, the colors gradually faded, leaving one end of the band visible.

Thankfully, I got its reflection (and the mountainside's) in the car window. "Please don't disappear just yet," I mumbled, noticing the car that had just passed by stopped in the middle of the street, probably to take photos of the rainbow. Who would ignore such a beautiful sight?

Walking to the driver's side of our parked vehicle, I found the other end of the fading rainbow's reflection too. It is very faint and barely visible, but I took a photo anyway.😊

Shifting the cam a little, I had the gorgeous sky, trees up the hill, and the eroded slope framed in the window too.

Locked my phone, stayed out a little longer, and watched the display until the rainbow hues disappeared completely. Turning around, I spotted the warm vibrant colors (golden yellow and orange) on the west side of the property. "Oh, the sunset!" My brain exclaimed. So I waltzed toward the back for a full view.

The explosive, fiery golden-hour light illuminated the mulched field, making it glow as if the ground were covered with molten gold. It is simply breathtaking!

Then the sky slowly turned darker, hinting that night was taking over, yet the glow lingered, inviting me to stay a little longer.

Sitting there quietly, soaking in the warmth and serenity, my heart whispered that it was happy and grateful.

So glad to have caught and enjoyed the ultimate two-for-one show of nature on both sides of the sky—a vibrant rainbow in the east fading away, then handing the spotlight to a glowing golden-orange sunset in the west.

What a perfect finale to the day! More of such, please😍
