Greetings, everyone!
I'm excited to present a piece I've been working on and would love to share with you today.
It's been quite some time since I've delved into oil painting. If memory serves me right, it's been since 2019 when I was still learning, and my earlier attempts were less than satisfactory.
Now, as I embark on painting once more, it feels as if I've forgotten everything I once knew. However, despite the challenges, I managed to complete a landscape piece today. Not too shabby for a beginner, if I do say so myself.
Materials:
Due to not having any painting materials, I had to purchase everything, and I nearly lost interest due to their high cost.
I bought; Linseed oil, oil colors, palette, palette knives, canvas, brushes and primer.
Processes:
I began by applying a wash of burnt umber to the canvas surface. This served two purposes: to gauge the intensity of colors during application and to ensure complete coverage of the canvas.
Following the wash, I sketched out my composition and commenced painting. Beginning with the clouds, I worked from dark tones to lighter ones.
Thank you for viewing.
Please, how is the painting?
