I love zinnia for its long lasting flowers, some years, it last all the way to December! Zinnia flowers are easy to grow, very hardy and not all that easy to kill, even in my hands. I neglected to water them and once I gave them a drink, they perked right back.
I grow them in pots, so they do need more frequent watering.
They are gorgeous flowers, especially the heart of it! Such amazing structure when you do macro shots. Layers and layers and stars and fuzzy whisker too :-). I don't know what to call them, so whisker it is.
