Outside my living room window, there is this tree with berries and my son spotted a bird nest last month. We watched the mother devoting her time sitting on it for a while. The nest is pretty deep in the branches and was protected by the thickness of leaves. Then one day, I saw a beak poking up.
I have tried many times, but couldn't get a good clear picture of how many baby was in the nest. I have to sneak up under the tree for this shot. Can you see the second tiny beak next to the big mouth :-) ?
This picture isn't what I was hoping for, but I was warned loudly by the parents! The baby robins were now eating, so they were being fed around the clock by both mom and dad.
I believe there were three babies altogether, as there were three beaks that I can see. They grew so fast and the parents were furious to see me, even when I just tried to get out of the house.
Not sure if this is the mom or the dad, but it was quite annoyed to see me. The feathers on top of its head even stand up :-)
