I'm a born Jamaican! My grandmother brought me to the states when I was a little over a year old. I left home at the age of fifteen due to struggles with my sexuality and nonacceptance from my family. I was homeless on the streets of New York City for eight whole years. From adolescence to adulthood I took care of myself. I was always in trouble and was frequently arrested. One court case landed me in deportation proceedings. I was almost gone but I made it.
