I write.

I write to tell my story,
I write to unburden my soul,
I write to remember you, to remember me,
I write with a broken heart,
I write to set the record straight,
or even wave the lines a bit,
I write to be understood,
I write to see the changing of our seasons,
following every line in our aging faces,
I write to love you, again and again.
I write to put you away, to abandon what could have been.
I write to hope there's more to come.
