Welcome to the final ending. The only real ending out of all of this. Congratulations on being so clever you skipped over every post and scrolled down the long list of posts. You found the final post or was it the first post? Either way congratulations.

Well, no I take that back. You see there are zero other pages in this entire experience linking to this one. There are people in this world that love turning to the last page of the book and reading the ending first. They then read a couple of random pages and declare they know how everything went.

Only certain kinds of people get this kind of treat. Yes, there is a group of people who read the last page of a book declaring it’s for intellectual superiority before reading the entire thing as well. I think those kinds of people are just cheaters like the first group. While this interactive fiction has quite a few possible ending mostly ending with death. The longest ending is nowhere to be found near the end.

Everything was assigned a number. While I’m sure some numbers were posted out of order by my own mistake when trying to set up the auto-posting schedule due to certain limits that you only get to post every so often. I made sure to leave certain number ranges open.

You might find it more interesting that jumping a few post numbers at random forward at the start ends up putting you quite oddly into things or is it a paradise? While other times are quite late posting numbers are not as far back as you would think they would be in this story.

As far as the final ending. The one so many people desire without putting in the effort. It’s somewhere not first nor last.

Perhaps you were instead not one of those dirty read-the-back-of-the-book first kinds of people. For that, I apologize for making assumptions about you without even knowing who you are dear reader. All I can say is I won’t be giving up the details if you found the final longest ending or just an early one.

While I truly wish I could give you some kind of phrasing that would indicate that you were close but not quite to the ending. Some people would just search out that term to find it.

Perhaps after almost a year of working on this interactive fiction since I take ages to work on these kinds of experiences and go on long periods taking a break. If I recall coming back to this forgotten trove of a treat I left behind. I might include some kind of hint only those who were getting close would understand. I however wrote this long ago or did I just write it recently? It is more than likely I’ve forgotten to update this post before it was published.

That would also leave me in quite a situation. Updating it after the fact would give people content clues that you get digging through data to see what posts I needed to “fix.” While it’s possible my organization system failed or I ended up making some corrections along the way after everything was published. I would rather leave this post as it was.

While I could be kind and give you a link back to the start of this entire thing. Perhaps one that takes you to a death page that then links you back to a start. Perhaps such pages have yet to be created when this was. Either way, I won’t be showing my cards on that front either. You will just have to scroll back up to the start on your own.
