El pasado 29 de septiembre, Ariel, mi compañero de vida, dio un paso importante en su formación profesional, pre defendió exitosamente su tesis de doctorado en la Universidad de Pinar del Río, con luz verde para defenderla y terminar el año 2023 con esta meta cumplida.

El día antes al acto de predefensa yo me sentía muy tenso, les aseguro que más que el día que defendí la mía, pero observar la tranquilidad de Arie me daba cierta serenidad, pues él se encontraba muy seguro y preparado, pero este examen, resultado también de sus tutores (donde me incluyo), pues he tenido la gran suerte de acompañarlo desde sus primeros pasos hacia el logro de esta meta.

El ejercicio inició como a las 09.30 am y terminó a la 01.30 pm, duró bastante, típico de este tipo de actividad, el salón se llenó de evaluadores del proceso y también, de algunos invitados, los suficientes para intimidar, pero decirle que estuve más tenso yo (que no hablé una palabra), que Arie, quien disfrutó el proceso a plenitud, él respondió cada pregunta y mostró sus conocimientos con mucha seguridad, pues si se trata de hablar de sexualidad y la importancia de este tema en la formación de docentes, es aquí un experto.

Me mantuve todo el tiempo emocionado y a la expectativa, pues sé con claridad lo que significaba este acto para él y lo difícil que ha sido el camino para llegar a este nivel, pero siempre existe una luz al final del camino y una mano amiga que indique la ruta correcta, con quienes estaremos siempre agradecidos.

Finalizado el proceso, todos fuimos a almorzar al Hotel Sol Encanto, ubicado en la cabecera provincial, muy cerca de la universidad, nos sentamos a la mesa los más allegados y hablamos un rato del logro del homenajeado, hicimos algunos cuentos y comimos un merecido almuerzo, que por cierto, fue de excelencia, como le gusta a los cubanos: 100% criollo y el trato del personal de servicio fue de altura.
After the process, we all went to have lunch at the Sol Encanto Hotel, located in the provincial capital, very close to the university, we sat at the table with the closest ones and talked for a while about the achievement of the person being honored, we made some stories and had a deserved lunch, which by the way, it was excellent, as Cubans like it: 100% Creole and the service staff was outstanding.
