I was going through my gallery and I just realized that I do not have pictures with my favourite people. I have tons of their pictures on my phone, but not so many with them and that sucks for real, but hey, I'm working on that, I promise.

Tell us about your best friend from childhood.

If there's one thing I am grateful for, it's choosing the right person as my best friend at a young age. How did I know that I was making the right decision at a young age? How did I know my friendship with this person would stand the test of time?

One word to describe my childhood best friend would be "selfless." Abigail is such a sweet soul and the most selfless girl I have ever met. I count myself lucky to have such a friend in my life.

Our friendship began when we were five and ever since, it’s been smooth sailing. Since we were kids when we became friends I can't remember how it all began but I can boast of how wonderful this friendship of ours has been.

Abigail's family lived next to mine, meaning we were inseparable and did almost everything together. We cried, laughed, played, sang, threw tantrums, fought and so many other things bestfriend did.

Abigail was stronger and braver than me back then, so she was ready to fight anyone who troubled me. My friend was really strong and blunt, you dare not mess with her, or be ready for the consequences.

Our friendship was so strong to a point that whenever we had our little fights and weren’t speaking to each other the entire neighborhood knew about it without us telling them. How do you explain Abigail and IB walking separately? Such fights were treated as a matter of urgency as neither of our families tolerated such.

Abigail is that friend who is ready to do just anything for me and I am proud to have her in my little corner. We live in different cities but the love and bond we share transcend distance.

I and Abigail have grown into two beautiful ladies, but we would be damned to treat each other differently because of age, distance, or circumstances.

Sadly the pictures I have of Abigail and me are pictures from our childhood as we’ve been apart for so many years and when we see each other, pictures are the last thing on our minds as we are immersed in the stories, jokes, laughter, memories, etc, everything else don’t matter. Lol, not anymore!! We are gonna take those pictures whenever we see again.

We might not talk every day or see each other as often as we want or did as kids, but we know we've got each other's backs and that to me is priceless.

What about you reading this post, how did you meet your childhood best friend? Are you still in touch? I’d love to read your thoughts in the comment section.
