There are things in life that needs 100% attention otherwise you miss your goal. On the other side there are also matters that does not really requires your attention, those things that will only make you stress such as unnecessary comments or criticism from workmates and other negative things that hinders you from the main goal. Based on my experience at work, I have the tendency to pay attention to all the negative comments and biased thoughts of my colleagues instead of shifting my focus to my career and excel from the rest. But now I just learned one simple principle called...

"Mind over Matter."

This the principle that is very effective and applicable to my life right now. It is very simple yet deep and effective. The "mind over matter" principle is as simple as saying - "I you don't mind, it won't matter." I learned to only mind things that matters to my life and to focus on my goal.

Just like playing 9ball billiard- what matters is the ball that you need to pocket on your turn but above all the goal is to pocket the 9th ball for the win. You have to pay 100% attention to every ball before the 9th to make sure to pocket them one by one. For me, it feels like when I hold my stick and point on the cue ball, I feel like it's only me and the billiard ball on the table that matters. I can't even think of my opponent watching me because my focus is on that billiard ball to go straight to the pocket.

In life, for us to hit the goal, we should learn to eliminate distractions and shift our focus to the only thing that really matters. Be mindful to the only thing that matters. This is the mind over matter principle I learned in my personal contemplation of my experiences in life.

"If you don't mind, it won't matter! ...if it matters then you should mind for it!"

Thank you all. Stay Safe!
