Bhagwan Shree Osho Rajneesh is asked if Buddha or Christ can be created or developed out of common man?
Osho replies:
The Buddha or Christ can not be created because the Buddha is your intrinsic nature it need not be created. It has to be discovered, the treasure is there, you have to find the key to unlock the door.
You have forgotten about the key. The key is with you. But society disturbs every child because Buddha or Christ are useless for society, what can you do with Buddha? He can be beautiful flower but flowers do not serve any purpose. You can drink their beauty but they are not commodities in the marketplace. What can you do with the full moon? You can not purchase it. You can not have bigger bank balance.
Society is really afraid of these people. Society want you to be slaves, to be cogs in the wheel of the society. They want you to be servants to the vested interests. They do not want you to be a rebel and the Buddha is bound to be a rebel. Buddha can not follow stupid commandments given by the politicians or the moralists or the puritans or the priests and these are the people who are oppressing the humanity.
Every man is born to be the Buddha. Every man has the seed to be the Buddha.
