Hello there my lovely hivers!!!
This is what happened on the 2nd day after the strong earthquake struck in Northern Cebu. We spend our night in the back of our car, we just open the door of it so it would be easy for us to go outside if the aftershocks would be strong.
Every morning, I don't really drink milk but now that I usually wake up early in the morning, I tend to drink a cup of milk since the strong quake happens.
My mother fried an egg and it's perfect to pair with the bread.
After I drank my milk, people were shouting on the highways telling us to go out since there was a pack launch given by the volunteers. We ran as fast as we can, it's our first time receiving a pack lunch since the disaster happened. I was really knowing that they initiate to help us by giving these pack lunch with water. They brought a lot of pack lunch and water they really help people with all their heart. They shared to us that they were nursing who take a board exam and the only thing we could help them is to pray that they could pass the licensure exam.
Seeing them, made me want to help with my fellow cebuanos. Giving them basic necessities but as for now we also need help. I am inspired by them giving those things with lovely smile. It's not my first time reaching my hand on their front of them and asking for food we also experienced this when the yolanda happens. After I received the food, I then thanked them for being so good for us by giving us breakfast.
We then went home while holding the foods they gave to us. I've had 2 pack lunch on my hand it's one for my father.
This is what the foods on the pack lunch, pansit, egg and hotdog. They had different types of pack lunch and this one had sliced bread and spaghetti.
Across where we stayed, our neighbor created this sign saying" HELP US FOOD AND WATER". I was curious if they had already received relief goods but we aren't that close. We just passed by them and headed to the complex to charge our phones.
There are already a lot of people, and most of them were so fresh they even took a bath put a lipstick on and a sunscreen while me on the side looked homeless. I haven't changed my clothes yet since we didn't have much water so we washed our clothes. We don't have a washing machine to easily wash our clothes, for about a year, we usually wash our clothes with our hands. I don't complain to my parents since I understand our situation, if I had a lot of money I would literally buy a washing machine so it would be easy for me to wash our clothes.
Around 9:00 am our brgy captain, took the generator because they were going to use it for distributing water on each house of our barangay. They ask our permission first and we all just agreed since water is the most important for us.
My siblings, went home first to eat breakfast and they took an hour before coming back to the complex they didn't think of me as if I've eaten already. I waited for almost 2 hours so I decided we should take a walk from the complex to our house. I was really mad when we passed by them and were already half way from our house. I didn't join them on the motorcycle and I decided to walk.
After I ate breakfast, we decided to continue charging our phones in our neighborhood. My iphone battery is at 80% and on regular days I didn't want to fully charge it. There would be a possibility that my battery's health would be low and I was correct. It turned out that my phone's battery was lower because I charged it too much.
There were also a lot of people in here, waiting for their phones to be fully charged. I already mentioned on my blogs that I love kids and on this day while I was waiting for my phone I met a kid who's really cheerful and asked what's his name and he's a little shy at first. He kept playing around me, and then he saw a thing and said it was his baby. I was just laughing at him and her mother was on our side.
On each side, there were people waiting for relief goods, and water for us to survive for a day since it's hard for people right now to be back at their regular job so we must work hard to wait for relief goods on the side of the highways.
People were really kind, they shared their blessings with us. Without thinking twice they were really happy giving us food and water.
This was also the group where my mother was, I joined them to wait for relief goods so we would have a lot of food.
In front of where we formed a group, there was also a group of kids in front of us waiting for relief goods. We were both desperate to receive one.
They created this sign written on bondpaper "HELP US WATER AND FOOD". Every truck passed by and we were shouting to help us even though it was just water. Thank god a vehicle stopped on our side, they told us to be on line and they served us a lugaw with water. It was hot and refreshing thanks to the Lord that they guide these people to help us in need.
In front of them a vehicle stopped there and handed them relief goods. With rice on it and ready to cook food. their hands were so high asking for some foods. But they shared just a couple of relief goods to also shared it with different barangay. I tried to fit with them but sadly I didn't get one.
