Imagine a coffee shop, a lot like Starbucks, with great coffee, great desserts, places to sit and talk, and places to open up a computer and get some work done.

But unlike Starbucks this coffee shop has a subtle theme associated with it, an anarchist theme.

As you walk in you see an interesting quote from a famous anarchist on the wall.

On your coffee cup there is an illustration/factoid that shows a failure of government.

On your receipt, an anti-government quote.

The effect?

The experience puts ideas into people’s heads that they had never heard of or thought about before. As a result, some people start thinking, talking, asking questions, learning.

Now imagine there are tens of these coffee shops all across New Hampshire, or hundreds all across New England, or thousands all over the United States.

The potential reach? Starbucks reaches millions of people a day.

Ultimately the idea is simple, people love coffee, they love coffee shops, and we can use that by bringing our message where the people are, and gently telling them about the philosophy of Anarchy.

Cryptocurrency and Public Speaking

Of course, every Anarcafe would accept (and promote) Bitcoin, or Steem or whatever Cryptocurrency it could, if not all of them.

And if you happen to be an anarchist who is looking for an opportunity to help others understand what anarchism is, Anarcafe could be the perfect outlet for a speaking tour.

The best part?

Once one Anarcafe coffee shop gets going and is profitable, it will generate the funds to start another Anarcafe, and then another. The coffee shops are essentially “little viral machines” that spread the message and fund their own growth at the same time.

What do you think of this idea? Would you support an “Anarcafe” near you if it existed?

Would you introduce it to your friends and ask them to meet you there?

Would it get conversations about anarchy started that never would have started before?

And could Steem help fund this idea and get the ball rolling?
