Possibilus the Wise has formidable psionic powers, which include psychokinesis and telepathy.
Hello Splinterlands Community!
Possibilus the Wise is the 11th Airdrop and the 3rd Legendary Summoner in the Chaos Legion Edition. Folks are divided into the stats of this legendary summoner, some may think that this card is not so powerful comparing to the other legendary summmoners while the others think that the stats are powerful.
For those who are new to my post, I usually post information which is related in the Silver League Modern Format.
Possibilus the Wise is a leviathan from the future that has adapted to rule on both land and sea. His mission is to find and secure the lost sacred rune tablets of his race that were shattered into pieces and strewn across time and space by the entity known only as Desolation. In his present time, a war rages on his home world of Nyuuldus, but Possibilus was tasked with traveling into the past and the future to find these runestone fragments and return with them to defeat Desolation.
When the Chaos Legion opened its rift, many of the fragments were cast through the dimensions and scattered across the Splinterlands. Possibilus followed, opening his own portal through time and space. Upon his arrival, he was attacked by the Chaos Legion forces, and members of the guild Team Possible came to his aid. However, the portal Possibilus created was destroyed during the attack. Now, he has offered his considerable strength in fighting against the invaders in return for assistance locating his precious runestones. With each one he finds, his power grows. His only hope is to find enough to harness the power capable of creating a portal to return to Nyuuldus and save his race.
Possibilus the Wise has formidable psionic powers, which include psychokinesis and telepathy. When he enters battle, his runic armor glows and his runic disc spins, emitting a disorienting light. He then attacks with his psychokinetic power and ferocious bite and talons while communicating telepathically with his allies to lead them to victory.
Possibilus the Wise is the 3rd Legendary Summoner from the Chaos Legion Edition
The name Possibilus comes from the guild name Team Possible.
The Trample and Reach ability only affects melee monsters which means that this card benefit greatly focus on the melee monsters.
Given that this card focus on melee monsters, we can check each melee monsters in the Water and Neutral (Silver Modern League) on how they are going to benefit with Possibilus.
Before we can proceed with each monster, we need first to know the order of priority for melee monsters which is Sneak > Opportunity > Reach > Melee Mayhem.
This priority of abitilies has been posted by @ueyuey before and you can refer to below link for this topic.
| The +2 health will definitely help Feasting Seaweed for additional durability however the reach won't help much dince Feasting Seaweed do have opportunity which is higher priority than reach. The trample though could do some extra attack which I think would be good. Feasting Seaweed could be use properly with Possibilus for the reverse speed ruleset. |
|
| Probably not that good with Possibilus as Possibilus is compatible for high mana match and given that Tortisian Fighter is a low cost mana tank, there is a less chance to use this. But for the benefit Tortisian Figher, it may attack in the 2nd position with trample ability and health is boosted further. | |
| I would say that Serpent of Eld is one of the best monster that will benefit from Possibilus. The +2 health would give additional durability. Serpent of Eld by having a high melee attack and speed could trigger another attack for the trample ability and could be place in the 2nd position acting as the secondary defense in the frontline wherein this card could still attack because of the reach ability. | |
| A good secondary defense that can be place in the 2nd position. WIth the reach ability and trample, this card may deal a great damage defending the frontline. The +2 health could boost this card health further. | |
| A low mana card which is not that compatible with Possibilus. | This card is probably the same with Feasting Seaweed where in it can utilize the trample ability and +2 health and best to have it in the reverse speed ruleset. |
| Finally, this card without any ability would be granted the reach and trample ability which would be great to have given that this card can be usually seen in a mid mana rounds as a tank. With the trample and reach ability, this card could be a secondary tank in some cases but I believe that not everytime. | |
| Even Flying Squid does have a reach ability, it does not mean that this card could not get any benefits anymore from Possibilus. It just means that this card is enhanced by granting additional +2 health and a trample ability. | |
| Probably another card that greatly benefit for the +2 health and trample ability from Possibilus, With Deeplurker high attack and high speed, it could mean that this card could deal another attack because of the trample ability. | |
| Diemonshark already have the trample ability, so how this card can benefit from Possibilus? Well, this card could use another +2 health and can now be place in the 2nd position without worrying that this card could not be able to attack. If you are worried against magic monsters and want to use Diemonshark, place this card in the 2nd position then. | |
| Woops another card with the debuffs against melee could now attack in the 2nd position thanks to the reach from Possibilus. | |
| Xenith Monk may not be that benefit well with Possibilus as this card damage is very low, the reach attack may not that effective from a low melee damage. | |
| Legionnaire Alvar is another card that could benefit from Possibilus. This card could act as the secondary tank against magic and can attack in the 2nd position. The additional +2 health gives this card as well to increase his durability. |
| Lemell Refugee could be pair with Legionnaire Alvar when dealing with magic damage which are place in the primary and secondary position. With Possibilus, these two cards could deal a great damage in the frontline and also acting as the defense. The Trample and +2 health gives these cards a great boost. |
|
| With the help of Possibilus, Junker becomes Thug Arachne with the trample ability utilizing the melee attack in the secondary position. Additionally the health has been boosted. | |
| No matter if Coeurl is in the primary or secondary position, this creature is enhanced by Possibilus having additional health which can increase its healing ability (which can be cast by Merdaali Guardian) and with Coeurl high damage, it could trigger the trample ability. With another tank in the frontline such as Agor Longtail, Coeurl Lurker can be place in the secondary position which can deal damage from the 2nd position. |
| Wave Runner could be great and could trigger additional damage when trigger by trample. However there are other monsters that are better than Wave Runner such as Tide Biter. | |
| Demented Shark with the inspire boost could be a good one to get the benefit from Possibilus given that this card will increase the melee damage of allied monsters and can attack in the secondary position with the reach ability from Possibilus | |
| Pelacor Bandit won't get the benefit from Possibilus except for the +2 health because the sneak will be prioritize over reach and the sneak monsters could not deal a trample attack because there is no more monster when attacking the last position. | |
| Torhilo the Frozen is one of the monster that could be a great tank when fighting magic unit. With Possibilus +2 health, the durability of this monster increases. Due to the high attack of this monster, this card can deal trample attack especially in the reverse speed ruleset. | |
| A good use for Tide Biter as the health has been increased by +2 and Tide Biter could deal trample damage. SInce Tide Biter have the reflection shield, in explosive weaponry this card is often use in the secondary position. The trample ability is a good addition for this card. | |
| Same analysis with Pelacor Bandit, Sand Worm and Uraeus card won't get benefit from Possibilus. | |
| Without Tide Biter available, Venator Kinjo could be a great choice to place in the secondary position to absorb the impact of explosive weaponry. Venajor Kinjo will be granted reach ability by Possibilus and extra health however with the low melee damage, Venator Kinjo may not trigger trample ability. |
There are quite useful ruleset that is great with Possibilus:
In my opinion, Possibilus is a great monsters which boosted melee monsters from the water element. The +2 health gives the water monsters more durability and there are a lot of possibility and combinations that can be use in the first and second position without worrying that the 2nd position won't be able to attack.
I think Possibilus is much more powerful in Wild rather than in Modern due to the fact that Wild does have a lot of powerful monsters such as The Kraken, Sea Monsters, Goblin Mech and Hydra which will benefit much with Possibilus.
How do you think our new Summoner? Are you excited to use it?
