Immortalis, one of the most powerful battle mages of the era, was the leader of one such guild.
Hello Splinterlands Community!
Immortalis is the 12th Airdrop and the 4th Legendary Summoner in the Chaos Legion Edition. A new airdrop that is coming in a few days which would probably affect the meta of the game because of the stats Immortalis have which is pretty good and against magic.
For those who are new to my post, I usually post information which is related in the Silver League Modern Format.
In the early years of the Arena Games, many battle mages began working together and formed guilds. All across the Splinterlands, they combined their resources to construct halls, lodges, barracks, stores, and even arenas where they hosted brawls—tournaments that pitted guilds against one another in a series of battles to prove which was the best.
Immortalis, one of the most powerful battle mages of the era, was the leader of one such guild. His training regimen was brutal and demanding, and he required nothing less than absolute perfection from those he accepted into his ranks. The weak were soon weeded out, while the strong flourished and grew even stronger. Immortalis and his guild proved all but unbeatable, and spectators from across the Splinterlands packed the stands to watch him swagger into the arena and direct his guild members as they mercilessly crushed their opponents.
Guild brawls continued to grow in popularity and, recognizing an opportunity to expand its influence and profit, the Order of the Scale formally subsumed guilds into the combat arena industry, requiring them to purchase a charter to become officially sanctioned organizations.
But Immortalis detested bureaucracy and the restrictions and regulations placed upon the guilds. Also, although he could still best nearly all who stood opposite him in the arena, he was growing older and wearied of teaching the latest generation of battle mages the tactics and strategies that, to him, were instinctive and seemed rudimentary.
Thus, Immortalis passed the baton to his most trusted and combat-hardened disciple: the battle mage Clove Sevintian.
She promised to make him proud. He told her that he knew she would… and to not be surprised if she should chance to look into the stands and catch sight of a white-bearded man with a shepherd’s crook in his hand and a mountain dog by his side.
“You can take the man out of the Games,” he said, “but you can’t take the Games out of the man.”
Then he slung his pack over his shoulder and, with his loyal canine, Siwel, at his side, he left the keep of the guild known as Immortal Gods and disappeared into the horizon.
Immortalis is the 4th Legendary Summoner from the Chaos Legion Edition
The very notable abilities Immortalis have is the void and shatter which gives a lot of changes in the game especially with those tank in the Earth.
Given that this card provides void ability which decrease magic damage, a very good counter against Obsidian, a reduce health and a shatter ability which is very great against monsters with high armor and void armor.
It is no doubt that all monsters will benefit all abilities Immortalis can provide but I'll list down those monsters which I think would benefit the most per ability.
I will be associating the void ability with the tank monsters from the Earth Splinter which I think would be further improve by Immortalis void ability.
| Mycelic Infantry will be much better due to the additional void ability which is against magic monsters. With Mycelic shield ability and Void ability from Immortalis, this card becomes a very powerful tank monster. | |
| Hill Giant would be like Unicorn Mustang since it will have the void ability which is pretty beneficial especially facing against magic units. Hill Giant only cost 3 mana which is why addition of Immortalis would be a very good choice. | |
| With the addition of Immortalis, I would say that Failed Summoner would be improve as besides the reflect ability which is against magic monsters, the void ability further improves Failed Summoner to survive the battlefield longer. | |
| What I love is that Nectar Queen would be a very dangerous tank as it does not only deal a high damage but can defend the frontline against magic. Another thing is that it will also benefit the shatter ability. | |
| With the healing ability, Pelacor Mercenary could withstand better magic attack especially that Void will be added to his stats. A much less damage taken against magic. | |
| A much improved Hill Giant at a cost of additional 2 mana. With the Void ability, Lichen Beast can withstand magic unit damage to the frontline. | |
| Goblin Psychic silence ability can disable magic monsters by reducing their magic attack. Void ability from Immortalis synergize with this ability to further reduce magic damage. | |
| Same goes with Goblin Psychic, the silence ability synergize with Immortalis void ability. |
On the other hand, I will be associating the shatter ability to those melee and range monsters especially with some special abilities that could synergy with the shatter.
| The shatter ability is a big boost to Grund especially that this card deals a double strike. The first strike will be destroying the armor while the second attack will be directly towards the health. Not mentioning the trample ability of Grund which then much painful. | |
| Acid Shooter would become like Weirding Warrior because of the shatter ability. THe good thing is that this card does have a scatter ability which then can target other monster in the backline.Hitting a backline with a high armor would be a jackpot. | |
| A high speed monster that can attack using opportunity. With the high speed associated with shatter, then a very high chance that the tank monsters especially with taunt ability armor will be destroyed early in the round. | |
| Initially I would like to put Bramble Pixie in the void ability section as this card does have a high health and can be a secondary tank but then with the reach ability, I would say that Bramble Pixie would benefit much on the shatter ability. Given that Bramble Pixie is usually in the second position, it can provide a good support in the frontline especially dealing against heavy armored defender. |
|
| With a low mana cost and not so high damage, Xenith Archer could be a great monster to have the shatter ability to destroy opponent's armor. |
In terms of monsters with Void Armor ability and high armor stats, below are the monsters that Immortalis may be have an advantage.
Chaos Legion
Untamed
Reward
Riftwatchers
I would say that Immortalis benefit can be use in most of the battle but I might say that I think with below ruleset, Immortalis is a good choice.
In my opinion, Immortalis will be changing again the meta of this game. With Immortalis introduction in the coming days, there will be a shift of line up as it will impact the current lineup especially those lineup specialized in magic damage.
