Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! I got a pleasant surprise as I was doing my daily grind in Splinterlands. I just got promoted to a higher league and got my chest rewards. When I opened, it included a shaking chest. At first I thought it was a legendary. It turned out to be a jackpot card Shadowcomb Duskrose that is very rare to come by.
Looking at the stats I would say that they're not overly powerful. Her stats are two attack, six life and one speed. It's not that strong for a jackpot card. Though the thing I liked about this card is that it can be used by two elements, Fire and Death. In addition, it has a Charge skill. It can attack from the back even if it's a melee card. I put her in my games and the results are mixed.
In this game she teamed up nicely with the rest to attack the opponent's front.

At any rate, Shadowcomb Duskrose is a nice collector's item. She's a very rare card that not everybody has and can play a crucial role in some games. Her being a dual element is surely a plus. On one hand, she may be difficult to level up because of her rarity. The best way to get more copies is through the market. Her progression levels indicate she gets better at level three with an extra attack. Then at level four she gets a skill Rust that decrease the opponent's shield. At level five, she gets one more attack but it will get expensive to upgrade her so consider if you want to take her further.
Join a Guild
If you are a player with few cards in your deck. Join a guild that can assist you to grow in Splinterlands. You can join brawls to earn SPS, enjoy reward multipliers and shop discounts. Since joining a guild, I'm adding my cards by buying from the shop and the market. This makes the game more fun and add progression. If you're not a guild member yet, now is the time to find one.
As a guild member do your part by having the right cards and showing up in the fray you have joined in brawls.
