Bc4 on move three is my attempt to avoid the main line of the Sicilian. 4. d3 Nge7 5. Nc3 d5 6. exd5 exd5 7. Bb5 a6 8. Bxc6+ Nxc6 9. Bf4 Be7 10. O-O O-O
I reached my objective in the opening which was to develop my pieces and castle. Although I exchanged my bishop for a knight which looks unfavorable. 11. Re1 Be6 12. a3 Bf6 13. Qd2 d4 14. Ne4 Be7 15. h3 Bd5 16. Re2 f5 17. Neg5 Rf6
I already like my position at this point. My knight is eyeing the e6 square while my rooks are ready to double on the e file. 18. Rae1 c4
Nxe5 followed by Rxe7 is winning but I missed it because I was focused on the e6 square. 19. Ne6 Qd7 20. Nexd4 Nxd4 21. Nxd4 Bxg2
Black was to eager to recover his pawn that he lost a piece. I'm already winning at this point. 22. Rxe7 Qxd4 23. Kxg2 Rg6+ 24. Kf1 Qd5 25. Qe3 cxd3
Another blunder by Black but I missed Re8+ and it's mate in two. I'm still up a piece so Black tried to win on time. 26. cxd3 h6 27. Re6 Qg2+ 28. Ke2 Rxe6 29. Qxe6+ Kh8 30. Qxf5 Re8+ 31. Be3 Qc6 32. Kd2 Qa4 33. Bf4 Rxe1 34. Kxe1 Qe8+ 35. Kf1 Qd7 36. Qxd7 Kh7 37. Be5 Kg6 38. Qxg7+ Kf5 39. Qf6# { White wins. } 1-0
