Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! I would like to share a game I played today. The modifier was Up Close & Personal: You can only summon units with melee power. Melee units generally attack only from the first position unless they have skills that allow them to attack from the rear. To solve the problem, I had Elowen Sylphie in the archon position and took advantage of its bloodline dominion skill. It gave Charge skill to Avian and Mundane Beast. This was the core of my strategy in the game I will share.
My opponent had a strong line up. He had two units that has two attacks and my team was filled with debuffs. I had Slow, Weaken and Rust cast on my team. In contrast, my opponent buffed his team with Strengthen. But I also had my resources. Aside from my units being able to attack from any position, I had another advantage going for me. My archon was legendary and gave strong skill to two of my units. Resurgence reincarnates my two of my units effectively giving me two extra cards. In addition, they have Trample skills that can do damage to adjacent opponent cards.
My opponent had the advantage in the early round. He was first to kill my tank and I thought I was going to lose. Resurgence saved my game and once my team killed the opponent's two tanks, the other cards were rather easy to defeat. All my cards were tanks whereas my opponent's cards had back line units and had lower defense. The Charge and Resurgence skills provided by Elowen Sylphie to melee units was the key advantage in getting the victory in this game.
