Greetings to all chess fans! The Yugoslav attack is an aggressive attacking set up against the Sicilian Dragon. The plan is to exchange Black's dragon bishop and open the g and h files to attack Black's king side. White will castle queenside and storm White's king side. The plan can also be used in similar Black set ups like the Pirc Defense or in the game that I played recently where my opponent used the Owen's Defense.
The game started with 1. e4 b6 2. Nf3 Bb7 { B00 Owen Defense } a rare opening by Black, used to surprise White players in blitz.
In such cases, I just develop normally. I occupy space with e4 and d4, bring out my pieces and castle. 3. Nc3 g6 4. d4 Bg7 5. Bd3 e6 6. Be3 Ne7 7. Qd2 O-O
Black castled early when this is one of the exception where castling early can be a disadvantage. I can now proceed with the attack by advancing my h pawn and exchanging the dark squared bishops. 8. h4 d6 9. Bh6 Nbc6 10. h5 f6 11. Bxg7 Kxg7 12. hxg6 hxg6 13. Qh6+ Kf7 14. e5 dxe5 15. dxe5 f5
White developed a strong attack. Ng5+ is already possible but first, bring out the other rook by castling queenside. 16. O-O-O Rg8 17. Ng5+ Ke8
So many winning moves at this point. Either Qh7 threatening Qf7 or Ne6 is possible. 18. Bb5 Qc8 19. Qh7 Rf8 20. Bc4 Nd8
Qg7 threatening Nh7 and Nf6 checkmate is winning but I didn't see it and sacrificed my rook instead. 21. Rxd8+ Qxd8 22. Nxe6 Qd7 23. Nxf8 Kxf8
White is already winning but it was a shame to miss mate in one. 24. Qh8+ Ng8 25. Qxg8+ Ke7 26. Qf7+ Kd8 27. Rh8+ { Black resigns. } 1-0
