Too many people are ready to give up on something instead of recognizing that its Satan who is trying to keep it from happening. Many of the things we pray about have already come to pass in this realm but Satan is at work here, he will put up every obstacle he can to delay it from happening and once there is the least delay, some will say, "maybe God doesn't want me to have it after all." They end up losing out and are defeated when they should have recognized the source of opposition as Satan and stood their ground!
Some say, "oh I'm trying to be strong" Ephesian 6:10 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the lord and in the power of his might" the scripture didn't say be strong, that's where they miss it, they try to do it themselves but the scripture didn't say, "Be strong in yourself." It says, "be strong in the lord and the power of his might.
During the 1932 assembling to welcome the worlds largest dirigible, the ring that held one of the two mooring cables snapped and the airship attached to it started to lift. Two groups of sailors attempted to allure it back to the ground by holding the landing rope, but a strong wind blew the dirigible and it broke loose, lifting up to 200 sailors 20ft off the ground. Many were injured as the fell But three men remained dangling from the cable as it continued to ascend. According to newspaper, two of the men couldn't hold on any longer and they fell 150ft to their death, the third sailor, a 19 year old man from Oklahoma, Braced his feet, in a wooden handgrip he quickly lashed other lines to the cable around his body. Attempts to lower the dirigible was unsuccessful because of the wind and half an hour later this man was still hanging from the cable alive, the sailors finally got a crew and cautiously hauled him into another airship by hand. When people asked how he held on so long he said, "I didn't hold on, when I saw I was to far from the ground to let go I wrapped the rope around me. I didn't hold on to the rope the rope held me". He wasn't trusting himself to hold onto the rope, he was trusting the rope to hold him. That's what Gods word is talking about, just wrap yourself in the promise of God and swing free!
