Your soul is made up of your mind, your will and your emotions. Your soul is your inner life
A soul tie is a connection that unites your internal being with another person. Examples of soul ties;

1. Jonathan and David (1 Samuel 18:1)
   "1 Samuel 18:1 And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul".
2. Marriage: Marriage is a soul tie between husband and wife, where their souls are joined as one flesh
   David and Jonathan's souls were tied in a way that God blessed (Mathew 18:9)
   "Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven". When a good soul tie is created the power of God intensifies
   However a wrong soul tie can negatively influence you faith. If you feel tied to a person from your past and you cannit seem to break, you have a wrong soul tie. Think about it, whats keeping u bound, what are u tied to in your soul that you cant get free from, who are you still connected to emotionally because of wrong soul tie?

   There are 3 ways of creating soul ties
3. Close relation
   In the bible, we see that king David and Jonathan had a good soul tie as a direct result of a healthy friendship. When you spend alot of time with someone you are forming a bond with that person.
4. Vows, commitments and promises
   Soul ties can be formed by the words of our mouth. (Proverbs 6:2) "Proverbs 6:2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth" this means you very own words could be keeping you trapped in a bad soul tie
5. Sexual Relationship
   Sexual sins are one of the most painful and the longest to recover from, because when we engage in sexual sin, we sin against our body(1 Corinthians 6:18) "1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body."

   Breaking soul ties
   There are 3 major ways of cutting off from negative soul ties;
6. Decide to please God more than anyone else
   You have one life to live, and it matters to God because one day you will stand and give account of your life. You cannot keep displeasing God to please others or yourself, you'll only end up in deep regrets
7. Build up the word of God in yourself
   The bible is our greatest weapon against trials and tribulations
8. Break the power of your words
   (Psalm 124:7)"Psalms 124:7 Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped."
