On my previous post, i talked about "Pride" being the longest distance between two people(if you didnt see it heres the link;https://steemit.com/steemchurch/@iamcaesar/steemchurch-pride be sure to check it out) . Today ill talk about how (not just) pride affects our connection with God.

Horrors of being disconnected from God Psalms 138:6 "Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off". When you are proud, God distance Himself from you; He totally disconnects Himself from you and watches you from afar with no intention of helping you. Immediately that happens, their sights. No nation could stand the children of Israel when they were connected to God. However, when they came face to face with an ordinary little town called Ai, they fled before their enemies, and God made them know that their defeat was as a result of the fact that Ho was no longer with them Joshua 7:11" Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff. 7:12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you".
The moment Samson was disconnected from God, those who were running away from him were able to capture him, and they were even bold enough to pluck out his eyes. When a man is disconnected from God, he loses his spiritual vision. In John 21:1 "After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself. 21:2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing". You see that when Peter became disconnected from Jesus, he went back to fishing, he had lost his vision. When a man gets disconnected from God, he suffers the shame of an ex-champion. Samson became an ex-champion, and he was bound.
There is also the horror of serving one's enemies when you are disconnected from God. Samson became a servant to his enemies. Its okay to be employed by a friend. However. When you are employed by your enemy, situations are different. When a man gets disconnected from God, his destiny becomes shortened . in 1 Samuel 13:5-14, we see how king Saul shortened his own bright destiny.
There is probably nothing as horrible as knowing where God wants to take you, but you end up not getting there. God wants to make you a lion, do not die like a cat. Some people live and die without becoming what God wants them to become.
