It's been several months since my last post here, and a lot has happened in my life recently. The first half of the year was rough, as I fell short of most of the goals I had set for myself. For example, my school's dean disqualified me from graduating with Cum Laude honors, I failed to monetize my YouTube channel, and I also failed to achieve the life I've always dreamed of. However, everything changed during the second half of this year. I graduated from college despite the setbacks, landed a good paying full-time job, and passed my CMMS certification. Life was good, but it seems like everything is falling apart right now.

At the moment, I'm thinking about my next move because we might get laid off before the year ends. I'm not saying it will happen, but there's a high possibility. Even if I perform well, it seems like the company itself is facing some problems with Reddit and its leads. The sales team is struggling to close deals, and most clients have chosen not to renew their contracts. I've also noticed multiple layoffs across other teams. That's why I can't afford to be complacent right now.

When it comes to the possibility of being laid off, I can say that I'm mentally prepared. I know my clients could revoke my access or simply end our collaboration. However, financially, I'm not prepared yet because my emergency fund is still insufficient. If I ever lose this job, I know it will require a huge adjustment. That's why my only choice is to stay proactive and resilient. I don't think my current company is the only one experiencing these struggles. Even major companies are dealing with similar challenges.

I've already informed my family members about the situation, and they couldn't help but panic. It's understandable since I'm currently the biggest contributor to our household finances. But to be fair, we have a good cash flow because we avoid buying things on installment. Of course, if I lose this job, it means we'll have to start over financially. Back then, the agency owner allowed us to work on Saturdays for additional pay. However, starting today, they're no longer offering that option. That's why I need to reduce my monthly contribution to my mom and prioritize my savings.

Since I no longer have Saturday work, I'll use this time to learn new skills and focus on my affiliate journey. I'm planning to take a course and apply what I learn during weekends. If I'm being honest, I feel like my IQ has deteriorated because my client wants to automate almost everything. Coming up with new ideas isn't as challenging as it used to be. However, I can't complain because the job pays well. Even though the work is no longer mentally challenging, I still feel exhausted and have chosen to take a break from affiliate marketing. Starting next week, though, I'll focus on it again because I'm expecting higher sales this December.

Aside from affiliate marketing and my current client, I also have a backup client. The work is more task-based, but it doesn't provide enough income to support a family. Technically, it's just extra money, which I'm using to fund my dream phone for content creation. I'll also start answering more surveys whenever I have extra time and no available tasks. I also need to manage my schedule better so I can accomplish more without burning out.

As for my weight and health, I feel disappointed because I haven't prioritized them. I've gained a lot of weight since I started working from home, and I always treat my family to snacks. We've also had back-to-back birthday celebrations, especially during the Ber months. We keep saying we'll cut back on our cravings, but I guess now is the right time to start. Since my mom heard about the possibility of layoffs, she also said we should reduce our spending.

I guess that's all for now. See you next time!
