Good morning, everyone. A few days ago, we finally submitted our practicum report together with my co-trainee. She is also my friend. I was planning to write this blog yesterday, but this unfortunate scenario is something that I wanted to share first. You know, ending this internship is bittersweet. It’s sweet since it’s finally done, but the outcome is bitter as I already expected. Anyway, without further ado, let’s get started.

Arriving at Internship Company

Before going to school, we proceeded to PSBC to have our Daily Task Report signed. We also got our MOA, which needed to be notarized. If you have read this blog, you would know how much we suffered from their lengthy document process. We were supposed to start immediately, but we only started in the first week of August. The MOA was the main bottleneck why we had long delays with the company.

Going to the Law Firm

As per the guard’s advice, we went to this law firm for notary purposes. However, when she asked the attorney, she said that we needed a CTC number. My friend asked our other friend what it was, but they didn’t know. I also asked my cousin about their CTC number, but he said their attorney didn’t require it. That’s why we went to the firm where he had his MOA notarized.

Although the fare is expensive nowadays, we still proceeded to another law firm. To make the story short, it was a success. She didn’t ask for additional documents. After we managed to get it notarized, we returned to PSBC to give them a copy.

Swirls

Before going to school, we went to Swirls to drink Coffee Float. That served as my lunch before heading to school.

Going to the Library

[don't have the picture]

Since we still needed to attach our scanned MOA, we went to the library for the meantime. My laptop was not working well since its battery needed a replacement. The only temporary solution was to keep it plugged in while using it. I also used that time to pay my INC, but it took a long time to reflect in the system since I paid online. You know, I just wasted money on the transaction fee.

Printing and Ring Binding

After finishing our tasks in the library, we went to the nearest printing shop to print the scanned MOA. We arranged everything there so it would be ready for ring binding.

However, they didn’t offer that service, so we proceeded to a neighboring shop. We only paid ₱100 for it, which is quite cheap.

Waiting for the Professor

Once we settled everything, we went to his office to submit it and met my other classmate. However, he was not there. While waiting, I lined up at the Finance Department to validate my online payment. It took me around 20 minutes to finish. I regretted my decision since I could pay in cash, though. We waited for a couple of hours to be entertained since he was busy with the deliberation. You know, he kept going back and forth, and we were the ones getting stressed.

When he finally had time, we submitted our Practicum Report and he delivered the sad news to me. My friend and my other classmate already knew about it, but they kept it to themselves since they knew it would hurt me. Until now, I still find what happened ridiculous and unjustifiable. They are the main reason why we had an INC even though we didn’t want it. We complied early, but they made the process complicated.

In fact, we found a company in May 2025 and submitted all the required documents a week after. The main reason why we failed to meet the deadline was both the school and the company. I’m not liable for the inconvenience, yet the Dean didn’t even give consideration. My adviser told everything why we got late and she remained firm in her decision. Personally, I’m not depressed about what happened, but it will definitely haunt me for the rest of my life. I wouldn’t mind if someone took the highest position as long as they deserved it. However, being invalidated like this is something I find horrible, unjustifiable, and ridiculous.

Chowking

Despite feeling frustrated about what happened, we went to Chowking for an early dinner. I was too lazy to eat since my 3 1/2 years of sleepless nights went into a snap. I regretted not focusing more on my career instead of being too disciplined with my grades. You know, experience is way better than academic standing. I just feel bad that it ended this way. Their chicken wasn’t that good since it didn’t feel juicy anymore, though it was big. I also met my classmate there and told him about his missing document before graduation.

In the end, I arrived home with a broken heart. I cried in my bedroom while my mom tried to understand what happened. As of the moment, I don’t know how I can move on from this situation. Until now, my grade is still INC, and I still can’t see the final result. Sorry for being so redundant, but I’m so heartbroken about what happened to me. I hope I can recover from this unjust and horrible situation.
