Greetings, dear feathered friends. This week I’m back to participate in Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 292. I took this photo in my driveway, just this morning. I was at work, but around 10 a.m. I had to rush home. When I got there, I saw a pigeon near the gutter; it was alone. I meant to take a picture of it, but since I was in a hurry, I let the opportunity pass and went inside.
I think I’d been inside my house for about 10 minutes when I went out to head back to work—and there was the dove. She was still alone; she wasn’t eating. Maybe she wasn’t waiting for anyone—she was just staring into space, perhaps lost in thought. I took out my phone and snapped a few photos of it. I didn’t want to get too close—I didn’t want it to fly away—but I took just a couple of steps to better capture its beauty. It backed away, but not before giving me a glance; I don’t think it had realized I was there until I moved.
I didn't go any closer so as not to scare her away; I took the photos and left. There she remained, all alone, in the same spot, lost in her thoughts—well, at least that's what I think.

Saludos estimados amigos emplumados. Esta semana de vuelta para participar en Amigos emplumados - Concurso de fotografía, ronda 292. Tomé esta fotografía en el estacionamiento de mi casa, justo esta mañana. Estaba en mi trabajo, pero a eso de las 10 am tuve que ir de emergencia a mi casa, cuando llegué, vi a una paloma que estaba cerca de la canal, estaba sola. Tuve la intención de fotografiarla, pero, como estaba apurada, dejé pasar la oportunidad y entré a la casa.
Creo que estuve como 10 minutos dentro de mi hogar, cuando salí para regresarme al trabajo, allí estaba la paloma. Seguía sola, no estaba comiendo, quizás no esperaba a nadie, estaba solo mirando al vacío, a lo mejor pensando. Saqué mi teléfono y le tomé varias fotos. No quise acercarme demasiado, no quería que se fuera, no obstante, solo di un par de pasos para capturar mejor su belleza. Ella, retrocedió, pero antes, me lanzó una mirada, creo que no se había dado cuenta que yo estaba allí hasta que me moví.
No avancé más para no espantarla, tomé las fotos y me fui. Allí quedó ella, solitaria, en el mismo lugar, sumida en sus pensamientos, bueno, al menos eso creo yo.
