Greetings friends of Liketu

This weekend the carnival festivities were celebrated in my country Venezuela. In those days it is customary to make parades of troupes and floats, choose the queen of Carnival, in addition to making all kinds of grape harvests. The epicenter of this event was the historic center of the city. To be honest, I don't usually go to these parties, however, I was motivated to visit the place by the fact that the group of Hivers from Cumaná, Sucre State, would have a stand there. The festivities began on Friday 18 and ended on Tuesday 21 of this month. For personal reasons I decided to go on the last day, so I invited a friend of mine who went with her little daughter Arantxa.

I was very excited because I was finally going to meet this group of Hivers in person, every time I got closer to my destination my excitement was getting bigger and bigger. However, I had a big disappointment, when I arrived at the event site everything was dismantled because they decided to make the closing of the festivities in the Bordones, a place very distant from where we were, it is almost at the exit of the city. Wow, what bad luck, a guy who was at the place informed me, but I didn't think to ask if they had buses enabled to transport people. I was a little embarrassed with my friend and her daughter, and at the same time disappointed, I could not fulfill my dream and buy a Hive bracelet at the stand.

We decided to go to the Hipergalerias Shopping Center, it is very close to the historic center. We went to the food fair for a family pizza and two soft drinks, it was one of the promotional combos they had there, as there were 3 of us, an additional soft drink was bought. After lunch we went to a store called Ilahui, which my friend's daughter loves because she says they sell cute little things. The truth is that she was right, everything is very beautiful, we were looking at many things, including sunglasses. My friend tried on several but she didn't like any of them. I was looking at the hats because I have been wanting to buy one for a long time. We were having a great time, we took some pictures, but when we saw the time we almost left running because we had to do some shopping at the supermarket and then go home. It was a different, fun and unexpected afternoon, the plan was different, but we still had a great time. My friend's daughter thanked me, because otherwise they would have stayed at home as usual, sometimes it is good to get out of the routine and breathe other air.

Este fin de semana se celebraron las fiestas de carnaval en mi país Venezuela. En esos días se acostumbra hacer desfiles de comparsas y carrozas, elegir la reina del Carnaval, además de hacer vendimias de todo tipo. El epicentro de este evento fue el Casco histórico de la ciudad. Para ser sincera, no suelo acudir a esas fiestas, sin embargo, me motivó a visitar el lugar que el grupo de Hivers de Cumaná, Estado Sucre, tendrían allí un Stand. Las fiestas comenzaron el viernes 18 y culminaban el martes 21 de este mes. Por cuestiones personales decidí acudir el último día, así que invité a una amiga que fue con su pequeña hija Arantxa.

Yo estaba muy emocionada porque al fin conocería a este grupo de Hivers en persona, cada vez que me acercaba a mi destino mi emoción era cada vez mayor. No obstante, me llevé una gran decepción, cuando llegué al sitio del evento todo estaba desmantelado porque decidieron hacer el cierre de las fiestas en los Bordones, un lugar muy distante de donde estábamos, queda casi a la salida de la ciudad. Wow, que mala suerte, un chico que se encontraba en el lugar me informó, pero no se me ocurrió preguntar si tenían buses habilitados para transportar a la gente. Estaba un poco avergonzada con mi amiga y su hija, a la vez decepcionada, no pude cumplir mi sueño y adquirir en el Stand un brazalete de Hive.

Decidimos irnos al Centro Comercial Hipergalerías, queda muy cerca del casco histórico. Fuimos a la feria de comida por una pizza familiar y dos refrescos, era uno de los combos en promoción que tenían allí, como éramos 3, se compró un refresco adicional. Después de comer nos fuimos a una tienda llamada Ilahui, que le encanta a la hija de mi amiga porque ella dice que venden cositas muy cute. La verdad es que tenía mucha razón, todo es muy bello, estuvimos viendo muchas cosas, entre ellas los lentes de sol. Mi amiga se probó varios pero no le gustó ninguno. Yo estaba mirando las gorras porque desde hace tiempo me quiero comprar una. La estábamos pasando muy bien, nos tomamos algunas fotografías, pero al ver la hora casi que nos fuimos corriendo porque debíamos hacer unas compras en el súper para luego irnos a casa. Fue una tarde diferente, divertida e inesperada, el plan era otro, pero igual la pasamos muy bien. La hija de mi amiga me dio las gracias, porque de no ser así se hubieran quedado en casa como siempre, a veces es bueno salir de la rutina y respirar otros aires .
