That's a valid point for all good utility coins. Quite obvious for some coins less for some others.
DeFi platforms are also creating their own utility tokens.
1INCH for example is using CHI as a gas token, you'll save on ETH gas fees if you decide to pay it using CHI.
Very similar as getting 25% discount on trx fees if you use BNB to pay for it :)
