Conquer the top of Bang Am mountain - discover dreamy and mysterious nature!

Today, I want to tell you about a trip I took on a weekend in early October 4 years ago. The trip to conquer the top of Bang Am mountain.

Bang Am is a limestone mountain range with an altitude of about 850m above sea level. The geographical location is on the northern edge of Huu Nien mountain. This land belongs to Dai Hong commune, Dai Loc district, Quang Nam province, and is only about 40km from the center of Da Nang city. Bang Am Peak also has many other names such as Am Thong, or Tung Son, because in the past, this place planted a lot of pine trees. However, due to the destruction of the war, and later people began to reclaim it, the pine trees on the mountain seem to have disappeared. On the mountain, there is a small temple of the hermit Tung Son. Therefore, the locals later combined these two characteristics to name Bang Am for simplicity, easy to remember and associated with the legend of this mysterious land.

Although it is the top of the mountain, the top is flat land, covered with green grass, interspersed with a few old trees to shade.​ And my favorite here is the sim hill. If you come to the right season of myrtle, then you can enjoy the ripe, very attractive myrtle, and more importantly, an extremely delicious fruit. At the top of the mountain, the temperature is about 5-7℃ lower than in the plain, so when you step up here, you will be able to breathe fresh, cool air, which is great for a weekend together picnic, explore nature, right?

That day, I joined people I never knew, through a group that went on Facebook, and I signed up to join them. Really getting to know new friends, and experiencing new things together, is very exciting for me. Because the friends who accompanied me on that trip were all people who like wild nature and discover new things around them, so it is not a problem for me to go with people who have never been used to it. We, backpackers often have a saying: first strange, then familiar. It means that even if they are strangers, they will eventually become acquainted, and meeting each other is already a predestined fate.

My friends and I met at the leader's house, prepared and shared the necessary things for the trip. Since we will be camping in the mountains in the evening, necessary items such as tents, food, and water must be prepared. We start from Da Nang city at 2:00 PM, arrive at the foot of the mountain at 2:40, and start your mountain climbing journey by motorbike.

At that time, the road had not been built but was still a dirt road, with high mountain slopes, and standing, eroded by the rain, so when moving the first slope was very difficult, the person behind had to get off. car and push the motorbike up the slope. The trail took a long time at first because of the steep slopes, but later on, the road started to become less steep and easier to walk. When you reach the top, the road seems to be flat, making up for the hard journey at first. Nothing can stop us.

The higher you go, the majestic scenery gradually begins to appear before your eyes. We can see the scenery of a part of the valley here, with a large river full of water winding, two sides are green fields, stretching to the foot of the mountain in the distance. With this scenery, combined with the dirt road zigzagging along the mountainside, watching the old forest carpets here, it's great for nature exploration, isn't it?

About 2/3 of the way, we decided to set up camp, because it was getting dark, it was around 6:PM. The area where we set up our tent is a flat lawn, next to a small stream so we can get water to prepare for dinner and drink. At night, here is covered with a rather thick layer of fog, so you need to prepare warm clothes and blankets in advance to not get cold. We prepared dinner together, gathered around the fire, and started to get to know each other more because we didn't have time to get to know each other during the move. After that trip, I made new friends for myself, went on subsequent trips together, until now they are still in regular contact. There is nothing better than having friends with the same passion for discovery as me.

The next morning, we woke up with a cold morning in the middle of the mountains, everything became so refreshing, all the fatigue of the previous day disappeared. After enjoying breakfast, we packed up everything and continued our journey to conquer the top of this mountain, and took pictures of this beautiful early morning. The path to the top is also easier, with short slopes and fairly flat sections of the road.
We reached the top of the mountain around 9:00 AM, the morning mist had cleared to give way to the weak rays of the late autumn days. On the top of the mountain, you can see a statue of Buddha or a statue of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara nearby. We followed along the small road leading to the cliff, it was covered on both sides by myrtle bushes with heavy ripe fruit. Here you can see the whole valley below, with the green of the trees blending with the winding blue river, the floating clouds seem to be able to touch, a mysterious scene, majestic, unlike other places. And we got the best photos of this cliff.

We left the top of the mountain around the early afternoon, after sightseeing and taking pictures here, and started the journey down the mountain. The way down seems much quicker and easier. We took the opportunity to admire the scenery of the forest, the green trees, breathe this fresh air before we had to say goodbye to everyone at the foot of the mountain, and return to the bustling city. The trip ended, and it left me with great memories, interesting experiences, and good friends.

At the top of Bang Am, there are not many interesting games like in the magnificent city, but in return, here you can immerse yourself in the charming and dreamy natural scenery. In addition to climbing, camping, and taking photos, you can also immerse yourself in nature, breathe the fresh air to find the balance for your soul. Maybe there are many tiring things out there, but you should try once to put aside your anxious life and explore this new nature, you will find true value in your life!
