A Spanish press report confirmed, today, Friday, new developments in the file of renewing the contract of Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.
Ramos' contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of the current season, and the Merengue has already offered him a renewal offer, but he did not satisfy the captain's ambitions.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca", the royal negotiations with Ramos have witnessed a positive change during the past hours, and he is expected to renew his contract and continue with the team.
The newspaper added that the negotiations led by Florentino Perez, Real's president himself, witnessed flexibility between the two parties that might keep Ramos in the Real Madrid dressing room.
The newspaper stated that the last period, which witnessed Ramos and Perez leaving the scene, because the first was in the knee and the second was infected with the Corona virus, during which many contacts occurred between the two parties to check on each other, and talk about renewing the contract.
The newspaper indicated that, after Perez recovered from Corona, he was keen to meet with Ramos at the club's headquarters, during his performance of qualifying exercises, and a friendly relationship appeared between the two parties.
The newspaper concluded that Ramos is close to renewing despite Real Madrid keeping his offer as it is, by renewing it for two seasons with a 10% deduction of his salary.
