Do you only vote because you get curation rewards?

When I had a small account no. But the more HIVE I get, I can tell it is important. With the community I have now, I have set myself up where I do not need to chase content or upvote the HBD comments to keep my mana low which is nice.

I do think a lot of people upvote based on curation rewards. Just looking at upvote behavior that is what it seems like to me.

I think a 25% interest saving account is a bad idea. I think a % return should have a relationship with a level of risk. Anything that pays that high implies it is super risky.

HF27 reduced the author rewards for comments, which discourages engagement and makes no sense at all for a social media platform.

Did it increase curation rewards but decrease author rewards? That actually does make sense to me if it did because it encourages curators to upvote comments because comments have pretty bad curation rewards.
