Yea I am there with you on the avoiding leverage piece. I don't trade on leverage through brokers because I don't want to get liquidated. I also avoid these leverage ETFs in most scenarios. Even in bull markets some people get crushed by leveraged ETFs.

Most ETFs are not leveraged though. Like VOO is a popular ETF that tries to track the S&P 500 index.
