I do think HIVE is weird in the sense that people who have a lot of HIVE naturally attract other users to their account.

I also can’t help but feel like way too many people are just going through the motions vs thinking about what they are doing.

Like I wouldn’t be surprised if people get mad I upvote comments so much. But people are engaging with me. It makes sense to me if I show appreciation through an upvote. I could always just max out curation rewards by upvoting only things that get big upvotes but that isn’t any fun 😅

I do think HP has a pretty solid use case when it comes to building a community. If I tried to build a community on X it would be a lot of work just to get members and engagement.

Here you can power up, create a format for the community, and just role with it. Like my community is not most people’s interest. Most people do not like doing math or building theoretical models or even investing. But I have a lot of HP so it’s easier to get people excited about.

Lots of retired rich people would love this sort of thing. It’s a good hobby for someone who is retired. I am not retired but I don’t work very much so I have enough free time to manage it.

Also, HIVE is a great place to get feedback. Like I never even planned to make a community until @valued-customer talked to me about them. Figured I’d make one first and just see how it goes. Now it’s like my favorite thing to do on HIVE.
