There was no vehicle available to travel in that remote village, when we reached the village, we saw, about 60-65 families were living in houses made of mud and thatch of very low height, on seeing us, the children Surrounded by all sides and looked at us curiously.

Sounds like a very small community and there is probably not much activity or out-rich programs to bring awareness about vaccines. It can be challenging especially if they are not even receiving any exposure to healthcare facilities before your visit. They probably have their assumptions about people coming from the city and want to experiment on them or compromise their immunity.

It's alarming to think that you had to go through all that experience while trying to help others. From the way you narrate it, you seem more frustrated by the whole misunderstanding with the village than the actual lack of devices working. Perhaps it's coming from the feeling of being denied serving your purpose in that village. Sounds like you were not gonna be able to reach out for help outside the village with just a phone call if the worst had happened.
