The location of Prambanan temple is one the border of two Regency namely Sleman Regency and Klaten Regency. The distance from the City of Yogjakarta is about 16 kilometers to the east.
The area of this area is about 80 kilometers, to the reach the location of Prambanan temple. I used trans Yogjakarta transportation, this vehicle way divided into several destination routes.
I departed from Giwangan terminal by using trans Yogjakarta with a small bus number 3A I a prived at the Janti bus stop, got off then connected using A1 to the destination of Prambanan temple area.
After arriving at the Prambanan temple complex area, I bought an entrance ticket for Rp 50.000,- or 3 USD more,and went around seeing and enjoying the beautiful view of the Prambanan temple.
Prambanan temple is the largest Hindus temple in South-East Asia compresing the three main temples ( Shiwa, Vishnu and Brahma). Three wahana (vehicle) temples(Nandi,garuda, and angsa,) two apit temple, four "Kelir" temples, for patok temple and surrounded by 224 Perwara (subsidiary) temples.
This temple complex and inscribed as the UNESCO World Heritage. The reliefs of Prambanan temple depict the ancient Indian epic of Ramayana and Kresnage. As a World Heritage site.
Prambanan temple represents a Master piece of human creative genius, as well as out standing example of a type of building. Architecture or technologigal ensemble or a type of which ilustrates a significant stages in human history.
This building is tall and slender in addition to Hindu architecture in general. With Shiva temple as a temple,it has a height of 47 meters soaring in the place of the smaller temple complex the Buddhist temple.
In the Prambanan temple complex,you can see not only the three main temples, but many other temples, as well as the temple museum. You can walk, or you can rent another vehicle such as a bicycle.
I choose to walk to surround the Prambanan temple complex. Facilities in the temple complex are spacious car parks, toilets are in every corner, health facities, as well as places restaurants, souvenir stalls.
