I was surfing in the Internet and found the report of the Chinese organization CAICT. The report says that 92% of all conducted ICOs were a scam.
According to the report provisions, Chinese researchers analyzed 80,000 Blockchain projects since 2009 and only 8% of them are now alive and working. That is interesting that the report highlights the average project “life span” - 15 months. According to empirical assumptions, it is even a lot of time. A year is enough for the project to receive a certain profit and die.
This confirms the sad thought that at the moment technology is not in the priority, everyone wants to get a profit and a successful marketing campaign.
According to ICOdata at the moment 770 ICOs have been conducted with a total capitalization of 5 billion dollars. If the Chinese researchers did not miscalculate, 4.5 billion dollars may disappear before 2020. But it does not mean that we can not get our profit from these projects.
However, not everything is so bad. Firstly, with such popularity increase of ICOs most investors quickly get significant losses and either leave the market or become smarter. Secondly, the market does not stand on the one place and if in 2009 it was full of chaos and it was almost an apocalypse, now it's just chaos there.
