Halograph II is a Kickstarter project, which is claimed to be a much improved version of their first Halograph released 3 years ago. They have made significant improvements to the product.

Features of the Halograph II:

It has halo hands that moves over the arcs to show the time.
They have a day / night display and it looks awesome in dark places.
In day time, light charges the battery and at night, the halo and the numbers light up using the stored battery.
It is limited edition (only 999 watches per color).
They also use high quality leather for the watch strap.

Do you really need it?

Only if you like to make it more difficult in reading the time, but as I write this, I'm tempted to get one on Kickstarter because it looks sophisticated (hipster yo). If people don't mind spending a hundreds of thousands on a Patek Philippe watch, this much cheaper alternative will definitely be popular.
