Less than a month ago some major Wall Street investors who manage portfolios of hundreds of millions of dollars maintained a bullish forecast for cryptocurrencies.
In a conversation between Musk and the prestigious adviser of Ark Investment Management, Cathie Wood, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, convinced him that the "strong hands of bitcoin would not let it fall below 30,000 dollars". We already know Musk and his legendary comments to influence the markets with the force of his words on social networks, sometimes it has worked for him, but this time it seems not.
Of course, all these actors have strong positions taken in cryptocurrencies and are not angels just come down from heaven or impartial witnesses, the statements were not enough and the strong hands were opened letting the cryptocurrencies fall under the weight of their weakness.
A few days ago Vitalik Buterin said that he was no longer a billionaire; what remains for us, many small investors would say, what will those who only try to stretch their wages eaten away by inflation for a few more days.
The picture is quite bleak for the entire world economy, it seems that we are on a boat in the middle of a perfect storm and the boats are not enough for everyone.
