I have already mentioned in other posts that people who are fans of flowers and plants live in my neighborhood, I have even shown a large number of photographs that prove it.
There is something for all tastes, but this house draws a lot of attention, its bougainvillea plant, which we usually refer to as “Santa Rita” in this region, is totally out of control despite the explosion of violet flowers.
I know that it is an invasive plant, if it is not given the necessary care it is capable of continuing to grow indefinitely, choking other flowers and shrubs, well, it seems that the owners of this house ignore that unsympathetic detail of this species or directly have ignored.
As if the excessive growth were not in itself something bad, the plant has very sharp thorns that become large and dangerous the more the bush develops, I can attest to it myself: in a house that is quite close to mine, a plant of this species, although with flowers of a different color, had climbed from the garden by a rope that the owners had put in the street to support the support of a small tree that did not finish growing straight. I was passing by the place distractedly talking with my wife and without knowing about the dangerous thorns, I did not manage to take precautions and one of them stuck in my scalp causing a small loss of blood. It was nothing serious, but it helped me find out about that dangerous and unpleasant detail.
The plants are beautiful and I love that the whole neighborhood displays them in their gardens, it brightens the eye and sets people passing by happy, however, this one is a bit too big.
We'll see if the owners realize it and beautify it a bit, just in case I'll pass away.
Ya he mencionado en otras publicaciones que en mi vecindario viven personas fanáticas de las flores y plantas, incluso he mostrado gran cantidad de fotografías que así lo demuestran.
Hay para todos los gustos, pero esta casa llama mucho la atención, su planta de bougainvilleas a la que por esta región solemos mencionar como “Santa Rita”, está totalmente fuera de control pese a la explosión de flores de color violeta.
Se que es una planta invasora, si no se le dan los cuidados necesarios es capaz de continuar creciendo en forma indefinida, ahogando otras flores y arbustos, bien, parece que los dueños de esta casa ignoran ese detalle poco simpático de esta especie o directamente lo han ignorado.
Por si el crecimiento desmedido no fuera por si solo algo malo, la planta posee unas espinas muy filosas que se hacen grandes y peligrosas cuanto más se desarrolla el arbusto, yo mismo puedo dar fe de ello: en una casa que se encuentra bastante cerca de la mía, una planta de esta especie, aunque con flores de otro color había trepado desde el jardín por una soga que los dueños habían puesto en la calle para soportar el tutor de un pequeño árbol que no terminaba de crecer recto. Pasaba yo distraídamente por el lugar conversando con mi esposa y sin saber de las peligrosas espinas, no atiné a tomar recaudos y una de ellas se clavó en mi cuero cabelludo provocando una pequeña pérdida de sangre. No fue nada grave por supuesto, pero me sirvió para enterarme de ese peligroso y antipático detalle.
Las plantas son hermosas y me encanta que todo el vecindario las muestre en sus jardines, alegra la vista y predispone a la alegría de las personas que pasan por allí, sin embargo, esta está un poco demasiado grande.
Veremos si los dueños se dan cuenta y la hermosean un poco, por las dudas yo paso lejos.
