It’s hard to see the calmness of the world around us when within us we are ranging like a tempest. Life always seem to be in a haste. Schedules are made so quickly, the deadlines draw up so closely and so on. And then there is the question, ARE WE RUSHING LIFE OR IS LIFE RUSHING US? This is a question the realtalk prompt has asked us to address this week.
The more I think about it, the less I agree that life is actually the one rushing us. Why? As humans, we are built in a way that we can literally worry about everything. No matter how small it may be, it just easily get us worried and unsettled and this is usually because of the way we see life around us. Most times, we think worrying make things better but that’s not true at all. Worrying only increase our stress levels and makes us think its fine to take more steps than one at a time.
When we worry, we on our own give life the go-ahead to rush us because we ourselves are already rushing life. Life as some will say, is what we make of it. If we see life as a shit hole, that is exactly what it will be for us. If we see it as a place to grow, we are always expectant of both the good and bad times and that helps us to be more prepared and ready to face whatever comes.
But either ways, we are the ones that mostly causes or allows life to rush us and also, we on our own rush life as well and that’s because we have so many high expectations of ourselves and those around us. We make deadlines that are mostly unrealistic because we want to get every good thing out of life as soon as possible. We compare our lives to that of others and we just keep loosing the whole idea of taking things one step at a time.
We think we can get more things done when we are always in a haste but thats not true. We only worry ourselves for no good reason and in the end, things still happen when they are right and sadly we always realize this late but we hardly ever learn anything from it. I guess its just in our DNAs to always rush things.
Thank you for reading through. 💜
