Hey darling, you have said it all. Music can be many things to different people and that’s totally fine. What matters is that at different point, we all agree that music like Mohbad said, doesn’t need permission to get to you.

Like you, music doesn’t always make me feel better when I’m feeling down, it only works better when I’m happy except I hear someone sings live and the person is good.

And yes, having a favorite of anything is hard except we are not growing. Change is one thing that is constant but what matters is that, for the time we had something we like, when we start liking something else shouldn’t change the fact that we actually genuinely liked the former. For me, it only means that the circle has grown. 😊
