At some point in my life, I was doubting some fundamental things about a lot of things and one of them was the fact that why do I have to eat every time, it's tiring for me and I just wished that when I'm hungry, I automatically get filled without having to think of what to eat and how to prepare a meal or how to buy myself a meal. Well, I do know deep down that no matter how I wish that to be possible it will never be because it is basic thing I have to do to survive. Moving forward to what I'd be sharing with you today, looking at how the word "Saving" seems to be easy to understand at a first gaze, a lot of persons haven't really come to understand why it is necessary to save.

There was this time in my life when I also had my doubts about why I should save because it felt unnecessary but is that true? Well, if you ever thought so before or now just know you were/are not alone in that thought at all. So what is saving? Saving simply means keeping aside a part of something that you have whether big or small for the days when there seem to be nothing to fall back to. If you understand very well my simple definition of what saving is, then you will get a clearer picture of why saving is not a waste of time.

You don't save things with the mind of using them (even though that's the reason), you should actually save them because it is a sign that you don't want to need them. Let me rephrase, when you save something, it shouldn't be part of your wish list to want to use it at the slightest of opportunities, it should be because you don't want to ever have need for such things ever again. I've seen people that save and they easily fall back on what they've kept aside once the need arises.

Note, it's not bad to fall back on what you've saved, no that's far from it, what I'm trying to let you know is that you shouldn't have the thought that whatever you are saving is for you to use when you are in need of it but instead your saving is you investing so you never run into unnecessary lack of finance or resources.

In summary, these are all what I've been trying to get you to understand about the importance of saving...

  • Save not because you want to use it but to prevent you from running into lack.

  • Savings give you a conscious mind to avoid unnecessary spending and wastage

  • Saving channels your mind to investing in the future whether or not you are the sole beneficiary of it.

  • When you have a saving, it will prevent you from being in debt.

One of the reasons why I thought saving was a waste of time then was because I've seen cases where people can save a lot of money but in the end they loss their life and a random person gets all what that person has saved for. As sad as it may look to some of us, the truth is most savings is never enjoyed by those saving it and that's why I feel we all should have an improved mindset of why we should save.

  • Save because you never want to run into lack and be compelled to do some things that ordinarily you won't do.

  • Save because you know there are people out there that will surely need your help.

  • Save because you want to be part of those benefitting from nature.

Now the big question is, how do you save?

I never understood this for a very long time and that was why I also felt saving was not necessary. Like I said, saving is not because we want to fall back on it with every slightest opportunity but it is so we don't even have to be in that situationship. So how do we save?

There are several ways to save and I'm very sure we know even more than I do but here are some ways that I want to encourage...

Giving to those in need and never expect anything in return - For me, this is the best way to save but I'm sure some financial gurus will disagree with me but then like I said it's just an encouragement, try it and see it works or not, no pressure.

  • Also, all of the other many ways you know how to go about savings is also valid and I will likewise encourage the ones that works best for you.

I've said a lot and I might have said some things that you don't agree with and it's fine. This post is actually to whom it may interest, so until next time, stay awesome and jiggy!!!
